* Firstly, enjoy yourself.

* Fourth, you must play along to the storyline. That is always a given, so keep up with the active Quests and Arcs.
* Fifthly, this RP is turn based so keep to the posting order unless skipped.
* Sixth, posts will be made as often as possible, likely on a certain day and at a certain time as if it is a DnD session. That being said, you will have 3 days to post and then you will be skipped.

* Eighthly, you can have up to 10 abilities so long as they are not absolute or too over powered, all abilities must be discussed with Chris.
* Ninthly, you must use our templates for your bio, with the exception of characters brought in from other RPs or Verses. Characters brought in from other RPs must be able to logically be in the LBDU. So pack your interdimensional suitcases and get ready to enter the Dead Galaxy, every new recruit that is from a verse other than the LBDU is brought here through a rift once used by Umbara. Once you enter, that rift is forever closed.
* Lastly, prolonged inactivity without notification will result in a ban. Its an RP server, so either be active or don't join. That being said I'll try and work around everyone's schedule....assuming they have a job, kids or school.
Most Important Rule Of Them All: All Members Must be at least 18 to join, if you lie about your age and are found out than you absolutely will be banned for life.
Two New Rules, You are allowed to use Canon Characters from the book, assuming you've read and enjoyed it. Also, unless you react to the rules most if not all channels will be locked.
Additionally, Travel will now be done in a more realistic fashion. If you wish to visit a location you must travel there via a post done in the location you are traveling from. I don't quite care how you travel be it teleportation or falling from outer space, but you must have a valid means to do so such as a spell or a portal.
However, I will be adding In Character Translocation Stones to take you to any desired location, however unless that location has its own stone you can not "Fast Travel" back to the previous location and are just sorta stuck there. These will usually be located in a Temple or an area of importance and may not always be open to the general public but are usually free to use.
Update: Another new but really fair rule, If you don't know what abilities to put on your bio or want to be more discrete and mysterious you may put as few down as you want or even none at all and state that their abilities will be discovered or awoken within the story.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: In this world anything that can happen in real life can and probably will happen here such as rape, the RP is not for snowflakes. The world of LBD is very dark and can at times be very graphic, I explain this to anyone who joins. If you can't accept shit like that than this RP likely isn't for you, these things can happen at any given time. Things like racism exist between the races and slavery is legal in most parts of the world, if it can happen in real life it can and most certainly will happen in the RP. Make sure you are prepared for these things. We do not condone these acts in real life, however this story is very dark and realistic in nature.

Update: I never put this rule back but there is a length requirement for posting. You are required to do a minimum of 1 paragraph but no fucks are given after that, do as many pages as you want but be mindful of the time it'd take to read all that shit.
Quick update, usually PTK is general common sense but we're doing RTK instead, RTK stands for Reason To Kill, in which case you are not allowed to just kill another player for no reason and or in cold blood. You must have an IC reason such as they have a bounty, they fucked your sister, its your father who left for milk a hundred years ago or something reasonable like they killed your entire race. They reason doesnโt matter. The only exceptions to this is if you are Evil or Insane in which case youโd kill anyone you want without reason or just cause. Or if you enter Dustgradd or The Ash Pit as a fighter, than your fate is left to the gods.
Update: Okay, this very important. To have a state of fairness, all NPCs and PCs follow the same rulesets with the exception of Deities or Demigods, and those rules will also be posted here but they're very simple.
In combat, we are doing it the way I learned to RP.
You must take damage every 1 of 4 hits, it resets after that.
As far as attacking goes, I don't really give a shit how many hits are dished out so long as the above rule of combat is followed which means one of those attacks must land.
Update: This is my oldest rule and when I made the new ruleset I must have forgotten to add it back in, but if I like your OC enough and the story thats happening I may come to you and get your permission to add them to the actual canon series and we'll get together and play out their story together so it may be added into the next book or thrown in somewhere in the current book while its being written. So, if you'd like to see your own character in a comic or something some day and be like "HOLY SHIT THATS MY OC, HE REALLY DIT IT THIS IS AWESOME" than just RP someone you know I'll like and get my attention with it. So long as they belong to my own lore and my own world and are not characters that use things from an existing fandom than I may be fine with adding them in and even giving them a very important role in the storyline. But I will never do this without your permission and your go ahead, but once they're in the series its final and you'll be fully credited even if we have a falling out some day. If thats something you'd be interested in, I don't mind putting your OC in the actual series, but I may not do this for everyone as I can't have to many OCs in one book or comic at a time so please be mindful and don't overwhelm me.
Update: Okay guys, I'm gonna level with y'all I've had people ask if they could play children in the past and it was a hard no. But Now we'll be allowing Child OCs under strict rules. Those rules are common sense but I'll say one of them anyways, Children are not allowed in a session where anything sexual is happening or where it often happens. So places like brothels is a hard no.
